During our August 24 planning meeting the Cubs and parents voted on adventures/activities/events they would like to participate in for the coming 2017-2018 Scouting session.
This feedback helps us schedule the events and design our regular meetings to help build the skills needed to have successful activities.
e.g. canoeing/kayaking
- start with dryland training on equipment and safety
- pool night learning water safety basic canoe and paddling instructions
- afternoon on the water
- day trip with overnight camp
We learned about the new Fire Station on Portobello and Scouter Heather (Beavers) can help teach us about hand hygiene.
New activities added to the list: Cumberland Village of Lights for around Christmas, camp themes of Pirates, War and STEM/Tech
