Fundraising for Yukon trip while hiking
Saturday
- Luskville Fire tower hike and continue to the cabin to make it about 10km
- will full pack for Yukon youth
- will daypack containing spare clothes, water, lunch for other Scouts
- return to Orleans - Roy Hobbs Centre
-- non-Yukon youth can be picked up from Roy Hobbs
Sunday
- hike to Petrie Island with full packs, 10km
- pickup before noon
The Hike-a-thon is one of our last fundraisers for the Yukon - Chilkoot trip. This is a great opportunity for everyone to raise some money towards the trip simply by asking your family and friends for their support. All sponsorships/ donations that are $20 or more will receive a charitable donation receipt! Please have all cheques made out to 'Scouts Canada'. Attached is a sheet for keeping track of the people who sponsor you.

Cost?
Only $10 to help cover the rental cost of the community centre.
Where?
Drop off Saturday at 8:30am at Orleans United Church
We will head to Luskville Falls to hike the trail up to the cabin and back (Bring a bagged lunch)
Then back to Roy Hobbs Community Centre for the night
Morning hike to Petrie Island
Pick up at 12:00pm Sunday Roy Hobbs Community Centre (109 Larch Crescent at the corner of Champlain)
Please confirm your participation by April 4 so that we can plan for how much food we need. While this event is not mandatory, we encourage everyone to participate as the training with packs is essential for our preparation for the trip.
