This Satuday evening from 6-8 PM we refreshed our paddling, canoeing and rescuing skills at the main pool at the Ray Friel Pool on 10th Line in Orleans. This is a mandatory activity for all scouts and 3rd year cubs) planning to attend the upcoming canoe camp and trips. Seven third year cubs came out and eveyone in Scouts except Cameron and Francis.

Scouts brough
-$10 per scout (to cover the cost of the pool rental and lifeguards)
-bathing suit
-towel
-comb
-lock
-paddle to fit the scout (available at most outdoor shops such as MEC, Bushtuka, Trailhead or Canadian Tire stores)
-personal flotation device to fit the weight of the scout. there will be extra paddles and PFD's available for the 3rd year cubs who may not have had the opportunity to purchase them yet.

The agenda included
545 PM-Arrive at main desk outside the change area, Pay up and Change into bathing suits
6-7 PM-Scout round robin occurs
730 PM-Free swim
800 PM-Shower and Change
815 PM-Pick up by parents
