This event will be held at Petrie Island starting at 6:00pm.

The Whitetails swimming up to Cubs are asked to be wearing their Cub tan shirt and sash (red with yellow stripe) under their Beaver uniform. During the ceremony, you’ll instantly become a Cub!!!

You can get the tan uniform and sash (get the large) at the Scout Shop on Baseline (between Clyde and Merivale) - you should also pick up the Wolf Cub handbook.

Handout from May 25 Meeting:

An invitation to all members of the 8th Orleans Scouting family.

We are holding our annual advancement ceremonies on Monday June 1st at Petrie Island starting at 6 pm. All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, parents, and siblings are invited.

We will start at 6 pm with the advancement and investiture, then move on to a BBQ, and then to an all-section campfire. Don’t forget to bring your campfire blankets. The BBQ will be sponsored by the group committee, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy.

We hope that everyone can come and share in the fun and wish our youth who are moving up from one section to the next all the best in their future in Scouting.



Attention 3rd year Whitetail Beavers:

The Whitetails swimming up to Cubs are asked to be wearing their Cub tan shirt and sash (red with yellow stripe) under their Beaver uniform for the advancement ceremony.

During the ceremony, you’ll instantly become a Cub, which mean you will be attending Cub meetings for the rest of the year and the June camp will be your last beaver event.

You can get the tan uniform and sash (get the large) at the Scout Shop on Baseline (between Clyde and Merivale) - you will also need the Wolf Cub handbook for next year.

NOTE: The Advancement ceremony and BBQ was moved to the Church due to rain.
