Due to the cancellation of the Klondike Derby we have decided to replace it with another event in February - the Scout Guide Challenge!

The Scout Guide Challenge is a day-long event where Scouts and Pathfinders form teams of four to complete a variety of scored challenges.

This is a lower intensity event compared to the Klondike Derby. Scouts and Pathfinders simply go from activity to activity in any order they wish and do as many as they wish. At each activity they are scored. Over lunch the scores are tallied and after lunch we present the trophy to the winning team. The colour of next year’s badge will be determined by the winning movement from this year, blue or green. The badge is green this year since Scouts won last year!

It will be a fun day to spend with your fellow scouts as well as with scouts and pathfinders from around the Odawa Area.

This is mainly an outdoor event but with a contingency to move it indoors for extreme weather.

The kit list for the day will be minimal and will be provided here a few days before the event.

Given the type of event, the timing, and the location we are hoping to get most of the troop out for this day.

Here are the details:
Date: Saturday 27 February 2016
Time: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm
Location: R.J. Kennedy Centre, 1115 Dunning Rd, Cumberland, Ont
Cost : $10 which includes : Activities, Site Rental, Lunch, and Badge.

Please sign up using the following Doodle poll:

The $10 payment is due at the Monday February 22nd meeting.
