Friday June 3 - Sunday June 5, 2011
We'll wrap up our work on the Purple Star and Canadian Heritage by sleeping in Fort Henry. We'll tour history Kingston and other notable locations along the St. Lawerence Seaway. We're hoping to coordinate this event with Packs in Kingston.
June 3 is a common PA Day between the Public and Catholic school boards, so we've got an offer and a request.
We've booked Fort Henry for the Soldier's Overnight experience which starts on the Friday at noon. We'll meet at the church for 8:30am and depart for Kingston. We'll have a bag lunch along the way and arrive in Kingston in time for the full experience.
Transportation:
Hathi, Chil and Akela will be attending as leaders. Derek with father and brother will be attending the Fort Henry portion. This means we have enough drives to get to Kingston and Camp Triall, but we do need a volunteer to pickup on Sunday. It's about 1.5hr drive to Camp Traill from Orleans.
Please contact Akela if you can help with the driving on June 5th.
Timeline:
Friday June 3

Saturday June 4

Cost is $75/youth, payments payable May 16 and 30. The fee has been subsidized by the group's Special Activity fund, as the Fort Henry trip only happens once every 3 years. Cost of parents attending will vary depending up on the duration. If a Cub can only attend the Fort Henry portion, we can adjust the fee as well. I would encourage all Cubs to make every effort to attend this event as it is a one time opportunity in your Cubbing career.
Since we're participating in this event, we'll be skipping the Odawa June camp this year.
