8th Orleans Scout Troop enjoyed a winter activity night on the Rideau Canal. We met at the church at 630 and drove to the Lees Avenue entrance to the canal to skate. Scouter Jim brought along 2 Swedish kick-sleds for us to use. We skated to the National Arts Centre and then past the Pretoria Bridge. We enjoyed Beaver Tails and hot chocolate which was provided by Scouter Joni. In attendance includes Scouters Pete, Joni, Karen, Werner & Jim and Scouts: Liam, Ross, Nick, Cameron, Jacob, Aislinn, & Emma. Healther also attended. It was very cold, but the skating conditions were excellent and we all had a lovely time.
