Confederation Park - downtown
We'll take a tour of the ice sculptures, check out the canal and maybe grab a Beavertaill too.
We'd like to take this tour with the Beavers, so that means an earlier departure than usual
Please arrive by 6:00pm at the Place D'Orleans Park and Ride
Those who want to take the bus downtown with parents/siblings are welcome. Leaders will be driving the Cubs downtown and meet up with the Beavers at Confederation Park.
- if you miss the bus/Leaders, then we'll look for you at Slater and Elgin entrance to Confederation Park between 6:30 - 6:40pm
We'll take a look at the ice sculptures, share some beavertails and maybe take a little walk on the canal before heading back. We'll return to the Park and Ride for 8pm when the Beavers are returning via the bus.
Parents and family are welcome to join us on the trip. The lights on the scupltures are beautiful and they'll be freshly made and not melted.
Why drive rather than the bus?
- cost of the bus tickets for Cub age youth would be $2.50 each for the round trip (pass is good for 90 minutes but that would mean only 30minutes to look at scupltures and have a snack)
- total cost of bus ride with leaders would be $60 (cheaper for Beavers as most are free)
- We'd rather spend the money on subsidizing the cost of the Winter Camp at Opemikon, which would normally cost $60/Cub
