The 8th Orleans Beaver Colony will be taking part in the Voyageur Council Spring Beaveree on May 14th. This Beaveree only happens once everything three years, so it is a once in a lifetime event for your youth.
The Beaveree is being held at the Lombardy Fairground, a short drive south of Smith Falls. Since we are travelling quite a distance to attend the Beaveree we would like to have parents attend with their youth.
The cost is $20 per person, and that includes a lunch of Hot Dogs, beans, juice and dessert. If you would like to bring your own lunch the cost is $16 per person.
Also, with the price of gas and the distance to drive I recommend that we carpool to get to camp. Please let us know if you are willing to drive and the number of passengers you can take and we will publish a list of people driving with the number of extra spaces available. We will then leave it up to you to work out the logistics of the carpools. Part of the beaver motto is "help take care of the world", so we would like to have the minimum number of vehicles possible traveling to the Beaveree to cut down the environmental impact.
